Multiple centers or hospitals per country can join SHARP Central. The patient data that individual centers or hospitals enter into the Castor system are collected in a separate national database and are available free of charge to the national leads upon request.
Each center or hospital must have its own data sharing agreement with the SHARP Central foundation.
Every patient whose data is entered into the Castor system must give informed consent that his or her data may be used anonymously for international severe asthma research.
For each center or hospital medical ethics committee approval is also required.
